David Alvaro Ruiz Ordaz, 77, of Otto, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023.

Born in Mexico, he was the son of the late David Ruiz Colmenares and the late Modesta Ordaz. Mr. Ordaz was a landscaper and a member at St. Francis Catholic Church in Franklin.

He is survived by his wife, Susana Acevedo Rios of Mexico; six children, Brigida Ruiz Acevedo, Luisa Ruiz Acevedo, Basilia Ruiz Acevedo, Heladia Ruiz Acevedo, Sergio Ruiz Acevedo, and David Ruiz Santos; three sisters, Blandina Ruiz, Valentina Ruiz, and Victorina Ruiz; and one brother, Aurelio Ruiz. Also surviving are twenty-two grandchildren; ten great- grandchildren; and numerous other family members.

The funeral mass will be at 1pm, Thursday, December 14th, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Franklin, NC. Father Tien Duong will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 13th, from 5pm to 10pm in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home.
