Obituary
Cynthia Schmitz, was born and died on October 28, 1933-2013.
Originally from Emporia, Kansas, she met the love of her life at age 13 when she moved next door to Bob Schmitz in Wheaton, Illinois.
Shortly after graduation from high school, she and Bob were married in 1953. During 60 beautiful years of marriage, Cindy and Bob set an example to their family of marital devotion, loving respect, and self-sacrifice.
Her presence will be missed every day by Bob, their 4 children, 16 grandchildren, 7 great grandkids, and countless others who had the special privilege of her easy friendship and nurturing love.
Surrounded by family in her home in Franklin, NC, she peacefully entered with our Lord Jesus Christ on her 80th birthday.
Visitation will be at Macon Funeral Home, Saturday, November 2nd from 9-10:30 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at St. Francis Catholic Church, Franklin, NC at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Francis Church, or National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
