Obituary
Cora Lee Hopper Henry, 80, passed away Monday, July 7, 2025, after a period of declining health.
Cora was born on November 21, 1944, to the late Alex and Maggie McDowell Hopper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James "Pratt" Henry, an unborn grandchild, two sisters Mary Rose Helton and Mable Gregory, and brother Troy Hopper.
Cora, a graduate of Franklin High School class of 1963, loved spending time with her family, reading, solving puzzles and crocheting.
She is survived by her daughter Patrica "Patty" Wall and husband Vance Wall, son James "Keith" Henry" and wife Shelli, one grandson Trevor Wall, two sisters Betty Allen (John) and Wanda Lou Pritchett; three brothers, Floyd Hopper (Alice), Roy Hopper (Pattie), and Harvey Hopper (Cheryl), brother-in-law Hoyt Helton, and her caregiver Alisha Sumner.
A graveside service will be held at 11am on Friday, July 11 at Burningtown Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Randy Drinnon will officiate. In honor of Cora's relaxed spirit, guests are invited to dress comfortably.
A time of viewing and quiet reflection will be held for family and friends at Macon Funeral Home on Thursday, July 10, from 1pm to 4pm.
