Connie Sue DuBridge,79, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, faith, and devotion.

Born to Carl and Betty Johnson, Connie lived a life centered on family, friendship, and her Christian faith. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Glen DuBridge. She will be lovingly remembered by her two sons, Brian (Kim)DuBridge and Kyle (Tasha) DuBridge. She was a proud grandmother to Caleb DuBridge (Shanna), Landon DuBridge (Ashley), Maya (Harley)Walker, Taylor Lee and Tara Lee. She also treasured her bonus granddaughter, Eliza.

Connie worked as a medical transcriptionist and later retired with Glen to the Great Smoky Mountains, where she found peace and joy in the beauty of the mountains. A faithful member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Franklin, North Carolina, Connie especially enjoyed the fellowship of her Wednesday ladies’ group. She loved crafting and cherished family Christmas time, but nothing brought her more happiness than time with family and especially her two very special friends, Gracie and Susie. And her beloved fur baby, Bella.

Those who knew Connie will remember her as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend, whose gentle heart and unwavering love touched countless lives. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is reunited with Glen and rests in eternal peace.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 19th, from 10-11am at Macon Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11am in the Chapel. Interment will be at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery in Crete, Illinois on Monday, August 24th, at 11am.
