Conda Juanita Vaughn, 80, was born in Macon County to the late Clyde & Mildred (Mashburn) Vaughn. She peacefully entered the presence of Jesus on Saturday, November 15, 2025.

She graduated from Franklin High School and attended Western Carolina University. She was a science teacher in Anderson, South Carolina. After retiring she returned to her beloved mountains of Macon County.

She was proceeded in death by her parents Clyde Vaughn and Mildred (Mashburn) Vaughn, two sisters in law Geraldine (Hovis) Vaughn and Kathryn (Neeley) Vaughn. She is survived by four brothers, Randall Vaughn, of Winder, Ga, Glandon Vaughn (Geneva) of Highlands, NC, Clayton Vaughn (Elaine) of Carrolton, Ga, and Dellyn Vaughn (Pat) of Franklin, NC; nephews, Denver Vaughn, Darwin Vaughn (Kellie), Derrick Vaughn (Kristy) and Dwayne Vaughn (Alex); niece, Misty Vaughn Holland, (Daryl); great nephews, Parker Vaughn (Ashleigh), Tyler Vaughn; great nieces, Macey Vaughn, Gracie Holland Reed (Aaron), and Kaylee Vaughn.

Both generations of nieces and nephews brought much joy to the life of their Aunt Nita.

Juanita was member of Sugar Fork Baptist Church where she taught the senior ladies Sunday School class. Each member of her class became a beloved friend to her.

She enjoyed traveling both domestic and internationally. She especially enjoyed her time in Ireland, England, Scotland, Nova Socia and Hawaii. She loved visiting the National Parks across the country.

The family will receive friends from 10-11am, Saturday, November 22nd at Macon Funeral Home. A service will be held in the Chapel at 11am. Burial service will be held at Buck Creek cemetery. Reverends Gene Hawkins and Jamie Passmore will officiate.

Pall bearers will be Denver Vaughn, Darwin Vaughn, Derrick Vaughn, Dwayne Vaughn, Daryl Holland, Parker Vaughn, and Tyler Vaughn.
