Clyde Aladdin Phillips, 74, of Franklin, NC, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 30, 2025, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Born in Asheville, NC, Clyde was the son of the late Werner and Bonnie Byas Phillips. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald and Jean Williams. He was the proud owner and operator of Phillips Plumbing, where he served the community for many years. Known for his dedication and integrity, Clyde built lasting relationships with his customers and was admired as a trusted businessman.
Above all, Clyde loved his family dearly. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose kindness and warmth touched everyone he met. He is survived by his loving wife, Jo Ann Phillips; together they would have celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on December 4th. He also leaves behind his sons, Jonathan Phillips (Maggie) and Matthew Phillips; grandchildren, Clayton Phillips and Savannah Birchard (Leighton); siblings, Brad Phillips (Jeanne) and Kandy Phillips; brother-in-law, Don Williams (Debra); and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was a member of Cowee Baptist Church, but when able he attended Prentiss Church of God. He always greeted others with a smile and will be remembered for his generosity, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to his family and community.
He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
