Obituary

Christopher Arthur Jepsen, 62, of Mobile, AL, passed away on June 17, 2026, following a surgery.

Chris was born in Montreal, QUE, but grew up in Franklin, NC – a place that he still called home and had planned to return.

He is survived by his parents Faye and Arthur Jepsen, of Mobile, AL; a daughter Alicia, of Franklin, NC; a son Alex of Dillard, GA; a brother Keith “Casey” of Mobile, AL; a sister Karen Smith (and her husband Mark) of Marietta, GA; the mother of his children Amanda Moon of Franklin, NC; and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins whom he adored.

Chris loved his children fiercely and was extremely proud of them both.

He had a lively spirit and a vivacious sense of humor. He also had a deep affection for animals.

The outdoors is where Chris truly felt at home doing the things he loved: camping, hiking, bicycling, mountain biking, canoeing and disc golfing. Sometimes he would live more in one week than most people did in a lifetime!

Chris had a huge passion for music – especially live music. Sometimes it takes only one song to bring back a thousand memories – we, the family, hope that for you regarding our son, father, brother, nephew, cousin, friend.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that any memorial donations be made to the charity of your choice or to Legacy Of Hope as Chris was an organ donor.

Chris was loved by many and will be missed dearly.

“Fare you well, fare you well, I love you more than words can tell/ Listen to the river sing sweet songs to rock my soul” - Robert Hunter/Jerry Garcia

A private memorial will be held by the family at a later date.
