Chellis "Chet" Smith, 81, of Franklin, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014.
Born in Materville, IL, he was the son of the late William Raymond Smith and Evila Bernece Frye Smith. Chet was a US Army veteran; member of Morrison Presbyterian Church and was a retired building contractor.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Barbara Ann "Bonnie" Jackson Smith; daughter, Karen Ulyicsni of Myrtle Beach, SC; step daughter, Vickie Lynn Green of Westminster, MD; four grandchildren and two step grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at Morrison Presbyterian Church.
Memorial donations can be made to Angel Hospice, 170 Church Street, Franklin, NC 28734.
