James Charles “Charlie” Sanders, 57, of Franklin, NC, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2026.

A native of Macon County, Charlie was born to the late James Dallas Sanders and Frankie Crisp Sanders. He worked as a maintenance worker at Macon Valley and took great pride in operating his lawn service company. James was known for his strong work ethic, caring heart, and willingness to help others. A loving and devoted man, he touched many lives and was loved by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving fiancée, Amber Cisneros; four daughters, Anastasia Sanders, Kristen Sanders, Kishi Sanders, and Emily Sanders; one grandson, Paul; two granddaughters, Stacy and Skyler; his brother, Kenneth Crisp (Julia); and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd, from 10-11 a.m. at Macon Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 11 a.m. in the Chapel with Rev. Greg Rogers officiating.

He will be remembered for his kindness, generous spirit, dedication to his family, and the friendships he built throughout his life. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
