Charles Kama Jr, 88, of Franklin, NC, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023.

Charles was the son of the late Charles Kama Sr and Annie Balderus Kama. Charles moved to Franklin in 1979 from Long Beach, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Juanita Deen Kama; son, Jeffrey Scott Kama Sr; stepson, Otis Dale Wright; sisters, Joann Wells and Aloma Garza. He loved to fish and make jewelry. He was an accomplished musician. He accompanied Ernie Menehune on his "Back to Aloha Land" album.

He is survived by his daughter, Luana Kim Kama Queen (Larry) of Franklin; sister, Luana Archie of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Christina Marie Wright, Bethany Wright, Thomas Dale Wright, Michael Scott Thompson, Katie Ann Queen, Nicholas Queen, Kristen Bauer, Jeffrey Scott Kama Jr., Ricky Dale, Sammy Kama; great grandchildren, Alisha, Austin, Blake, Christopher, Taylor, Christopher H, Cason, Tommy, Daniel, Eddie; and one great-great grandchild, Rylen.
