Carolyn Tippett Hixon, 85, of Franklin, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2026. She was born in Macon County on August 11, 1941, to the late John D. and Inez Tippett.

She loved to watch racing and the Atlanta Braves. She also enjoyed putting together jigsaw puzzles. She was a true caretaker and was dedicated to taking care of others. Most of all she loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by a son, Paul Kinsland (Angie); a daughter, Tammy Kinsland Wilson; five grandchildren, Justin Kinsland, Shelia Weaver, Nicki Tallent (Chuck), Kari Conard, and Amanda Hofrichter (Gabe); fourteen great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; a sister, Glenda Gladwell (Max) and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother Jim Tippett.

No service will be held per her wishes.
