Carol Ann Hood, a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother faithful servant, and cherished member of her community, peacefully passed away on August 22, 2026, surrounded by family.

She lived a full and beautiful life, touching countless people along the way with her warmth, generosity, and loving spirit. She was spunky, outgoing, joyful, and never met a stranger. Her presence had a way of brightening a room, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Her faith was at the heart of her life. She loved her church dearly and faithfully served as a greeter giving hugs to everyone who came through the doors. She had a remarkable gift for making the people around her feel loved and welcomed.

Carol was a devoted mother and a loving grandmother who treasured her family deeply. She found joy in the simple and special things in life: good food, cooking for the people she loved, animals, giving gifts, crafting, and any that that SPARKLED. She had a generous heart and delighted in making others happy, often finding a reason to give, celebrate, or make someone feel special.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Margaret Dunn Hood and William Hood.

She is survived by her sister, Margaret Dilbone, her three children, Daniel Keener (Robyn), Kelli Keener, and Thomas Stormer; her seven grandchildren, April Tippett, Daniel Sanders, Jessica Keener-Dragoo, Tori Dragoo, Aaron Keener, Riley Stormer, and Sativa Stormer; and five great grandchildren, as well as countless friends and members of her church and community who were blessed to know and love her.

Though her absence leaves an enormous space in the hearts of those who loved her, her legacy of faith, joy, generosity, and unconditional love will live on through her family and all the lives she touched. She lived a very full life and left the world a little brighter than she found it.

Please join the family in a Celebration of Life service on Saturday September 5th, at 10:00am at Discover Church in Franklin. If you know Carol, you know that she would love for you to wear bright colors or your I LOVE MY TOWN shirt.
