Candie Elmore, age 53, passed away Friday, September 6, 2024.

Candie was born in Charlotte and spent most of her life in Gastonia and Franklin. She spent her career in human resources with various organizations throughout the area- most recently with Drake Software.

When she wasn't working or doting on her son, or her nieces and nephews, Candie could be found at the movies with her friends or cheering on Alabama- Roll Tide!

Candie was the epitome of a cheerful giver and was known for always putting others before herself.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Woodrow Baker and Judy Ann Terry Baker; husband, James Paul Elmore; and sister, Angel Baker.

Candie is survived by her son and daughter in law, Ashton Elmore and Abbigail; sister, Cindy Baker Houston (Chad); nieces and nephews, Trevor Davis, Josh Bryant, Jonathan Bryant (Summer), Jessica Houston, Summer Elmore, Jamie Elmore, Alysha Elmore, and Josh Edge; and cousins, Kathy Campbell, Jeanne Campbell, and Brandy Waters. She is also survived by her best friend and canine companion, Molly.

A celebration of life service will take place at 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 13, 2024 in the chapel of Macon Funeral Home with Pastor Davis Hooper officiating. Interment will be private in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
