Caleb Vincent Hunter, beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend, joined his mother and father in Heaven on Wednesday, May 29th, 2024. He was born to the late Timothy Edwin Hunter and Susan Tippett Hunter on September 5th, 1989. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bob and Helen Tippett of Franklin, as well as Betty Butts (GrannyBoo) of Highlands and a nephew, Paxton James Engert.
Caleb grew up in Franklin and was very involved in sports. He loved baseball, basketball, football, and was even a cheerleader at Franklin High School, where he graduated in 2007. He loved the outdoors and was a landscaper for New Creations. Caleb had a smile that would light up a room and his hearty laugh was infectious. He was also extremely intelligent and loved people. He loved his children. He was a friend to many. For the past few months, Caleb had spent every evening after work with family, laughing, playing games, and giving the BEST advice. We take comfort in those wonderful memories and will always remember the love he showed us. He loved the Lord and even during his darkest struggles, he never lost faith.
Caleb is survived by two sisters, Savannah Hunter of Franklin and Amber Tippett Engert of Franklin, a soon-to-be brother in-law, Robbie Younce, two children, Paisley Hunter of Hayesville and Kaine Fountain of Georgia, two uncles, Bill Tippett and David Tippett of Franklin, and an aunt, Pam and Irwin D. Smith, Jr. of Clayton, N.C. He also leaves behind two nieces, Destiny Palmer and Jocelyn Sanders of Franklin and three nephews, Cayden and Hudson Engert and Jossiah Ligon of Franklin, as well as several great aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will be holding a private memorial service on June 15th. In lieu of flowers, donations for final expenses may be made to Macon Funeral Home, in care of Caleb Hunter.
Our hearts are broken, and we miss him so much already, however, we find peace in knowing that we will have the most amazing reunion one day. "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever believes in Me shall never die." John 11:25-26
