Byrd "Monroe" Collins, Jr., 77 of Franklin, passed away Friday, November 10, 2023.
Monroe was the son of the late Bryd Monroe Collins Sr. and Lou Anna Franks Collins. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Marie Annette Collins; siblings, Delcia Carver, J.L. Collins, Tommy Collins, Ellis Collins, Furman Franks, Victor Franks, Margie Hopkins, Eva Nell King, Dorothy Jones, and Mamie Collins. He was of the Baptist faith and loved dirt track races.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Carol Stewart Collins; children, Amy Sanford (Joey) of Seneca, SC, William Scott (Susan)of Highlands, NC; stepdaughters, Rebecca Rockett and Alesha Zimmerman; ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Honoring his wishes, no services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the charity of one's choice.
