Bruce Edward Higdon, 62, of Franklin, NC, peacefully passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Higdon Jr. and Carolyn DeWeese Higdon; grandfather, Joseph Higdon Sr., brother, Michael; and brother-in-law, John.

Bruce was a 1981 graduate of A.C. Reynolds High School in Asheville, NC. After high school, he came to live full-time on the family farm and has been there ever since.

Bruce never met anyone that didn't become his friend. Everyone that knew him, came to love him.

He is survived by his brothers, George and Joe; sisters, Mary Lee and Stephanie; and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving lots of cousins and special friends in Higdonville.

His spirit, his friendship and his love will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
