Brannon “Jeff” Keener, 48, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026. Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late Maurice “Biff” Keener and Linda Joyner.

Jeff was a man who loved the outdoors and the simple joys of life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his dogs, and playing the drums. He was a talented carpenter during his years in construction and later worked as a splicer in the utilities field, where his skill and work ethic were well known.

He is preceded in death by his parents; an aunt, Susan Keener; and three uncles, Rusty Joyner, Bo Joyner, and Jackie Keener.

Jeff is survived by his brother, Danny Keener (Robyn), his sister, Kelli Keener; uncle, Frederick Keener (Mary Ann); and many cousins who will remember him with love.

The family will hold a private service for Jeff at a later date

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church.
