Obituary
Bonnie Sue Bishop Short, 70, of Brevard, NC, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2023.
Bonnie was the daughter of the late Hugh and Rosa Lee Bishop. She was preceded in death by her parents; her longtime partner and love of her life, Willis "Red" Ray Davis; and brother, Charles Edward Bishop. She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church in Sylva. She loved taking care of her family and animals. She was a wonderful caregiver.
She is survived by her siblings, Judy Lynn Bishop of Brevard, Mary Mylissie Roper of Brevard; nephews and nieces, Michael Bradley (Connie), Phillip Bradley (Sandy), Paul Bradley, Leona McKinney; and several great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 5 at 9:30am in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Winston Salem, NC.
The family will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Tore's Home, P.O. Box 362, Brevard, NC 28712.
