Betty Sue Maney, born January 21, 1948, in Macon County, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026, at Highlands‑Cashiers Hospital. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great‑grandmother, sister, and friend whose gentle spirit and steady kindness touched everyone who knew her.

Betty Sue found joy in the simple things, cooking and canning for those she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great‑grandchildren, watching her favorite Westerns, and caring for her beloved dogs. Her home was always a place of warmth, good food, and open arms.

Betty Sue was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her daughter, Annie Maney.

She is survived by her son, Jimmy Lee Wilson; five grandchildren, Jimmy Wilson (Sarah), Nick Wilson, April Roberts (Reggie), William Maney (Jessica), and Elizabeth Wilson; and five great‑grandchildren, William Maney Jr., Amelia Maney, Tabitha Maney, Delilah Murphy, and Kyler Murphy. She is also survived by her sister, Frances McCall, and nieces, Elaine Webb and Nancy Webb.
