Betty Rogers Gunter, 84, of Franklin NC, passed away on Sunday July 20, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Betty was born in Highlands, NC, on March 30, 1941, to the late Theodore and Pauline Rogers of Franklin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Howard and brother-in-law, Dennis Bell. She loved her family, traveling, gardening, square dancing, and working in her flower gardens. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, she loved her church family, and they loved her. She was well loved by everyone.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph "Joe" Gunter of Lawrenceville, GA; daughters, Robyn Keener (Dan), Rhonda Phillips (Michael) ; grandchildren, John Howard, Jessica Houston (Josh), April Tippett (Shayne), Daniel Sanders (Jessica), Aaron Keener, Jake Phillips, Brady Phillips, Luke Phillips; sisters, Sue Roth (Earl), Louise Barday (Tommy), Debra Bell; brother, Paul Rogers (Caroline); five great grandchildren; four stepchildren; twelve step grandchildren; and two step great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 26th, from 10-11am at Pine Grove Baptist Church. A service will be held at 11am and burial will be in the Mountain Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Greg Rogers will officiate.
