Benjamin Harris Ledford, 67, of Otto, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023. Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late Lake R. and Ruth Anderson Ledford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Tami Taylor Ledford; son, Jake Thomas; daughter, Jennifer Ledford Holmes; and siblings, Linda Watson, Johnny Ledford, Ginny Anderson Thompson, and David Ledford. Ben was a member of Prentiss Church of God. He enjoyed woodworking, playing his guitar, fishing, and most of all reading his Bible. Ben is survived by two sons, Brandon Ledford of Franklin, and Jesse Ledford of Sevierville, TN; stepson, Tony Ledford of Sevierville, TN; and eight siblings, Wayne Ledford of Franklin, NC, Jean Vanhook of Franklin, NC, Sylvia Spell of Lexington, SC, Liz Ledford of Franklin, NC, Jim Ledford of Franklin, NC, Bonnie Shirley of Franklin, NC, Debi Ledford of Franklin, NC, and Joey Ledford of Sylva, NC. Eight grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. A celebration of life will be at 2pm on Thursday, August 17 in the chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Don Moffitt will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1pm to 2pm, one hour prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the charity of one's choice.
