Obituary

Sue Picklesimer Hall, 77, wife and mother passed away peacefully Friday, August 21, at Angel Medical Center. She was surrounded by the comfort of her Four Seasons Hospice care team and her family.

Growing up in Highlands, NC, she was preceded in death by her parents, Tearley and Margaret Moore Picklesimer. Sue was a true horse lover. She raised horses, cared for them and rode until she was physically unable to continue.

Sue is survived by her husband Joe Hall, sons; Wes Hall (Bonnie) and Scott Hall (Amy). Four grandchildren; Holden, Madden, Lila Grace, and Memphis. Also surviving, sister, Anne Harris and brother, Benson Picklesimer.

Sue looked forward to and cherished her time with her grandchildren. They were truly the bright light in her life.

The family expresses their sincere gratitude to the staff at the Franklin House for the care they gave to Sue during the final two years of her life, also, a very special thank you to her personal nurse and best friend for four plus years Michele Smiley.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 1 pm, in the chapel of Macon Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 12 pm, one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. The Rev. Lewis Smith will officiate.
