Ashley Marie Smith, 32 of Cullowhee, NC passed away on June 15, 2024. Ashley was born in Clearwater, FL on November 30, 1991, to Jefferson Smith and Laura Barsic Smith.

After graduation from TC Roberson High School in Arden, NC she went on to express her love of serving others in a variety of capacities, most recently as a beloved barista in Highlands, NC where she enjoyed game nights with her friends as well as pursuing her love of art and reading.

Ashley was preceded in death by her birth mother Laura in 1994. Ashley is survived by her loving father Jeff Smith and stepmother Alesha Smith; her brother Christopher Smith his wife Suzanne and two children; her sister Brandi Goddard and her son; her sister Bobbi Robinson and her husband Kyle and two children; her sister Isabella "Kat" Smith; and her partner Josie Belflower, as well as many cherished friends who were blessed to have known her.

There will be a memorial on July 6th by invitation only please at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the feline rescue of your choice to honor Ashley's lifelong love of cats.
