April Crunkleton Ray, 47, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 14, 2024.
April was born March 18, 1977, in Franklin, North Carolina, daughter of Kenneth Crunkleton and Judy Moffitt Combs.
April was the most thoughtful, caring, loving person anyone could be fortunate enough to know. She was devoted to her husband, her son, her daughter and her recently born grandson. April loved to spend time with family cooking, eating, talking, laughing. She loved all holidays, especially Christmas and Easter. Her Christmas stockings and Easter baskets are legendary!
April was extremely smart, witty, and quick. She loved playing games with family and friends (if Heaven has Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy you can bet April will be watching and she's hard to beat).
She was predeceased by her stepfather Lucian Combs and her niece Anastasia Scheufele.
She is survived by her husband, Scott H. Ray of Charleston, SC; father, Kenneth Crunkleton (Polly) of Franklin, NC; mother, Judy Moffitt Combs of Ladson, SC; children, Scott H. Ray Jr., United States Navy and Meaghan Scheufele of the home; grandson, Kingston Ray Chavis; and siblings, Jeff Combs (Rhonda), Jason Combs (Shauna), William Crunkleton, USMC (Allison), Emily Crunkleton Lamb (Lane), and Michelle Jennings Gerken (Todd).
The family will receive friends Saturday July 27th from 1-3pm in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. A private burial will be held at Iotla Baptist Church Cemetery in Franklin, NC.
The family is sincerely appreciative of the constant, loving support of so many dear friends.
Memorial donations may be made in April's memory to a charity of your choice.
