Alma Moffitt Berg passed away July 6, 2022 in Irmo, SC. Born and raised in Franklin, NC, Alma was a devoted Christian and a devoted Mother to her 4 children. As a military wife, she raised her children by herself much of the time. She had good values, and was a resourceful person and Mother, often making due with what she had to be the best Mom she could be. She was a kind and caring person who enjoyed the simple things in life. Above all she took great joy in her family and loved visits from her grandchildren. Later in life she spent time as a volunteer where she enjoyed meeting people. Alma is survived by her children, Teresa Rizzo (Doug) of Irmo, SC, Chris Bottoms (Vicky) of West Union SC, Casey Southard (Mike) of Franklin, NC, and Will Bottoms of Franklin, NC as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and, nephews. She is also survived by a sister Helen Ammons of Bakersfield, California; brothers Bud, Don, Frank, and Terry Moffitt and their families of Franklin, NC. A graveside service will be held at 10am Monday, July 11, 2022 at Woodlawn Cemetery. Moffitt Family Funeral Care is humbly honored to serve such a great lady and her family.
