Alfred James Williams, of Franklin, passed away on December 1, 2013. He was born in Columbus, OH and later settled with his family in Jamestown, TN where they established a funeral home business. Jim would later become a mortician and make a part of his early career working in the funeral home. Jim decided to venture out and he worked for several large insurance companies, retiring from United Family Life Insurance, Atlanta, GA.
In 1976, Jim met the love of his life "Ruth" at a large metro church called "Rehoboth Baptist" in Tucker, GA. Jim and Ruth were instantly attracted to each other. They married at the church a year later and were happily married for 36 years. Jim was a true southern gentleman. His personality was like a magnet; people loved to be around him. Jim was a Christian who always tried to walk close with his Lord and share his faith with others.
Jim is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Ruth; one sister, Joretta Raines (Miles), Allardt, TN; daughter, Cindy Young (Gary) Grapevine, TX; two sons, Chandler and Craig; three grandchildren, Nieces and cousins and many friends.
Per his wish, no services are planned. He expressed his desire to share his faith for all to know you can be assured of eternal life by accepting Christ as your Lord and Savior. Gallations 2:20 and John 3:16.
