Obituary

Agnes Lorraine Graham Rowland, 86, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026.

Born in Franklin, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Olan and Mary Jo Elmore Graham. She was also preceded in death by her son, John Wallace Rowland.

Agnes was a member of Louisa Chapel Methodist Church in Franklin. She was gifted with her hands and enjoyed crocheting, crafts, and sewing. She loved people and never met a stranger—conversation came naturally to her, and she cherished every connection. Agnes found joy in cooking, fishing, and golfing, and she devoted her life to caring for her husband and son. Above all, she loved her children deeply and unconditionally.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Daniel Rowland; daughters Selena Gilbert (Duke) and Susan Potts (Kelly), both of Macon, Georgia; sister, Claire Graham of Franklin; four grandchildren, Melissa Faulkner, Derrick Rowland, Tyler Potts, Jacob Potts; twelve great‑grandchildren; and one great‑great‑grandchild. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 2, at 2:30pm at Louisa Chapel Church. The family will receive friends from 1-2:30pm. Rev. Russell Stewart will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
