Yvonne Durland Gray, 79, of Franklin, passed away Wed., November 28, 2007.

Born in Vestal Center, NY, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Park and Myrtle Ellis Park. She was preceded in death by her first husband Albert John Durland, second husband, Clarence Elbert Gray; step daughter, Diane Colleton and a grandson, Sean Beams. She graduated from Russell Sage College in Troy, NY and The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY receiving her masters degree in special education. She taught in the Schenectady, NY public schools retiring in 1985. Yvonne moved to Franklin in 1992. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church; member of the Smokey Mountain Quilting Guild; member of the Pruett House Adult Day Center from 1992 to present; member of the Morning Glories Cooperative Extension and member of Precepts Bible Studies. She enjoyed traveling, square dancing and cooking.

She is survived by three children, Marta I. Durland Burke and husband Roy of Tilton, NH, Louis Albert Durland and wife Martha of Dallas, Texas and Matthew E. Durland and wife Janet of Falconer, NY; step daughters, Sandra Gray Long, Beverly Roscoe, Karen Dailey and Janis Phillips; brother-in-law, James Durland and wife Rita of Deltona, FL; grandchildren, Aaron Burke, Colin Burke, Jesse Burke, Andrew Burke, Amie Durland and Jill Durland; 14 step grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren, and many friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 1, at First United Methodist Church. Rev. Wayne Allen will officiate.

Memorial donations may be made to the First Methodist Church Building Fund or charity of one's choice.
