Patrick Penland, 26, of Franklin, died Saturday, March 1, 2008.
Born in Macon County, he was the son of Bill Penland and Terry Waldroop Devane. He was a member of Louisa Chapel Methodist Church. Patrick loved horses and sports. He was kindhearted and loved his son and sister. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, William A. Penland and Nellie D. Penland.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandparents, Edwin B. and Thelma L. Waldroop; son, William Trey Ballew; sister, Paige Penland of Franklin; aunts and uncles Sherry and Billy Vanhook and Robin and Jackie Mashburn; cousins, Lindsay, Katy, Amy and Ben; and nephew, Owen Downs.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, at Prentiss Church of God. Rev. Don Moffitt and Rev. Radford Penland will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, at the church.
