Obituary for William Glenn "Bill" Holland

William Glenn "Bill"  Holland
William “Bill” Glenn Holland, 33, of Auburn, GA and Franklin, NC, died Friday, September 5, 2008.

Born in Macon County he was the son of William Gary Holland and Brenda Cloer Holland. Bill was a foreman for Carolina Cable; a member of the Macon County Steer program; member of Patton United Methodist Church serving as the youngest chairperson on the Board of Trustees in history. He was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and was a devoted son and loving family member. Bill was preceded in death by his grandparents, Glenn Doyle Cloer, Ruby Sawyer Cloer and William Perry Holland.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandmother, Susie Dietz Holland of Franklin; special love, Leabee Skinner of Winder, GA; daughter, Laney Rae Holland of Winder, GA; godson, Cameron Blake Henry of Franklin; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 8, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Keith Newell and Rev. Phillip Cochran will officiate. Burial will be in the Patton United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, September 7, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Green, Deuane Cloer, Tim Cochran, Mike Carpenter, Sean Kaminski, Terry Holland, Eric Boatwright and Michael Mason.

Honorary Pallbearers will be employees of Carolina Cable and Clint Anderson and Billy Sknner.

Memorial donations may be made to Laney Rae Holland Trust Fund, Macon Bank, C/O Darlene Dills, 50 West Main Street, Franklin, NC 28744.

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
