Obituary for William Sevear Greene

Sevear Greene, 64, of Franklin, passed away Monday, December 18, 2006.

Born in Whittier, NC, he was the son of Avery Greene and Nellie Slagle Greene. He was an Ordained Independent Baptist Minister, formerly serving as pastor of The Labour of Love, The Prayer House and Bethel Berry Baptist Church. He was a member of Olive Hill Gospel Chapel. He was an avid sportsman and loved to hunt and fish.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Maxine Greene; children, Richard Greene, Tina Wyatt, Adalia Wykle, Michael Carver and William Scott all of Franklin, Tony Roper of Ohio and Ruth Anne Cameron of Orlando, FL; brother, David Greene of Franklin; sisters, Lillian Greene of Sylva, Betty Brooks of Dillsboro and Leona Weirick of Franklin; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 20, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Barry Bowman will officiate. Burial will be in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, December 19, at Macon Funeral Home.
