Obituary for William Matthew Coulter

William Matthew Coulter, 71, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2007. He fought his battle against cancer with dignity and bravery.

Born in Xenia, Ohio, he was the son of the late Clarence Matthew Coulter and Clara Hoag Coulter. Bill attended Ohio State University and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. Bill started his Real Estate career in 1965 in Ohio. He moved to Florida and became a commercial real estate appraiser and mortgage broker with Southeast Mortgage, and received his MAI designation and was a member of the Appraisal Institute. He went on to serve as vice-president of First Florida Mortgage. In 1990, he started his own real estate appraisal business in Florida and later opened his own business in the Highlands/Franklin area.

Bill was of the Episcopal faith and is survived by his wife, Yvonne Hatfield Coulter of 48 years; his son David Coulter of Asheville, NC, his daughter, Jill and son-in-law, Jon Clontz of Orlando, FL.

Family services were held June 17, 2007 and burial services will be held in Xenia, Ohio at the Woodland Cemetery.
