Obituary for Ward William "Bill" Chapman

Ward William "Bill"  Chapman
Ward “Bill” William Chapman, 76, of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2009.

Born in Wabash, IN, he was the son of the late George Chapman and Bertha Weaver Chapman. He was a US Air Force Veteran. Mr. Chapman loved to witness about his faith; support missionaries and loved to hear the Bible be preached. He attended Victory Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Margaret Bradford Chapman; three daughters, Cathy Sanders of Boca Raton, FL, Carin Utt of Long Beach, CA and Christin Lynch of Salsbury, NC; son, Ward William Chapman II of Franklin; brother, George Chapman of Homestead, FL and seven grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 29, at Victory Baptist Church. Rev. Benny Bagwell and Rev. Buddy Driggers will officiate. Burial will be in the Victory Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Pallbearers will be Mike Sanders, James Bates, Fred Workinger, Johnny Craig, Ken Williams, Bruce Rish and Ward Chapman.

Memorial donations may be made to Victory Baptist Church Building Fund; 278 Victory Church Road, Sylva, NC 28779.
