Vernon Parrish Pruett Justus, 92, of Asheville, NC formerly of Franklin, NC, entered into rest on Friday, April 15, 2005.

A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late George T. Parrish and Beulah Porter Parrish. She was first married to the late Buran Jason Pruett then to the late Carlton Justus and in addition was preceded in death by three sisters, Hallie Duvall, Birdie Parrish, Geneva Baldwin, three brothers, Pryor Parrish, Fred Parrish and Ralph Parrish and an infant son, Wayne Pruett. She was a member of Iotla Baptist Church.

She is survived by five children, Billie Bert Potts and husband Ray of Franklin; Tom Pruett and wife Carmie of Franklin; Beatrice "Bea" Coates and husband Harry of Asheville; Bill Pruett of Asheville and Kenneth Pruett and wife Linda of Canton; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 17, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Reeves and Rev. Hassie Lundy will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3-4 p.m. Sunday, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Tom Potts, Nick Potts, John Pruett, Sherrill Coates, Ricky Coates, Danny Pruett and Jason Pruett.
