Thelma Ross Cowart, 73, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2008.
Born in Frostburg, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late William Walter Ross Sr. and Alretta Mae Loar Ross. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by daughter, Patricia Pellerin and two brothers, Richard and Walter Ross. Thelma was a homemaker and lived in Apopka, FL until 1980 when she moved to Franklin.
Thelma is survived by her husband of 56 years, William F. Cowart; one son, William F. Cowart Jr. and wife Rael of Newport, NC; two daughters, Deborah Erdman and husband Steve of Franklin, NC and Marlene Tichenor of Longwood, FL; three sisters, Gin Madill of Sylvan Lake, MI, Hazel Leinenger of Fowlerville, MI and Freda Lake of Cheyenne, WY; eight grandchildren, Stephanie Reynolds, Tracy Bryan, Jeremy Cowart, Nicole Rogers, William Cowart III, Michael Cowart, Madeline Maynard and Toni Pellerin; two great-grandchildren, Rachel Reynolds and Colton Forester and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May, 14, 2008 in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Hank Conner will officiate.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
