Obituary for Teresa Arlene Ammons (Henderson)
Teresa Arlene Henderson Ammons, 59, of Franklin, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, April 2, 2023, after a long period of declining health.
Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of Geraldine Lee Henderson and the late Arley Eugene Henderson. Teresa was a member of Iotla Baptist Church. She cherished her family and loved caring for chickens when she was able.
In addition to her mother, Geraldine Lee Henderson of Franklin, NC, she is survived by her husband, Kenneth Ammons of Franklin, NC; children, Melissa Ammons Quiletorio (Ilde) and Zachary Ammons, both of Franklin, NC; one brother, Vic Henderson (Diane) of Raleigh, NC. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service will be at 2pm on Thursday, April 6 at Iotla Baptist Church. Rev. Brandon Breedlove and Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate. Burial will be in the Iotla Baptist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1pm to 2pm, one hour prior to the service at the church.
Pallbearers will be Mike Tallent, Jerry Tallent, Mark Pruitt, Rick Scott, Adam Peek, and Stuart Beach. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Ammons and Tim Shue.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society,2610 Wycliff Road, Suite 101, Raleigh, NC 27607.
