Obituary for Teresa Ann "T" Allen

Teresa Ann Allen “T”, 54, of Franklin went to be with the Lord, surrounded by her family, on December 28, 2021. Teresa was born in Kingsport, Tennessee, on November 16, 1967, to John and Betty Allen. Shortly after, she moved to Franklin with her family and was a lifelong resident.

Teresa was a blessing to anyone she met. She attended Special Education at Franklin High School. After graduation, she started volunteering at MPP for fifteen years helping take care of the children there. Her love for people was especially shown around the children she cared for. She loved going to church and was an active member of Oakdale Baptist Church. She loved to sing and was a big fan of southern gospel and country music.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by two nephews, Mark Zimmerman and Ryan Zimmerman; ten great nieces and nephews; one great-great niece and special family members, Wanda Pritchett, Donna Seibert, Mary Gregory, Randy Gregory, and several aunts,uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her sister Sandra Elaine Allen Zimmerman.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 2:00pm, one hour prior to the service.
Pastors Gary McCoy and Guy Duvall will officiate. Burial will follow at Snowhill United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mark Zimmerman, Ryan Zimmerman, Adam Burrell, Joe Allen, Keith Henry and Randy Gregory will serve as pallbearers. Jase Zimmerman, Alex Zimmerman, and Everett Zimmerman will serve as honorary pallbearers.
