Tanya Deneen  Parker (Williams)
Tanya Deneen Parker was born on February 10, 1965 in Paterson, NJ, the eldest child of Patricia Oliver and the late Harry C. Oliver III. She departed her earthly body for her heavenly home on May 14, 2010. Tanya attended public schools in Paterson, NJ where she graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in June, 1983. After high school, Tanya went to work with physically and mentally handicapped children which began her life long journey, caring for and working with the community. Shortly thereafter, Tanya, along with her family relocated to Atlanta, GA in February, 1985. Upon moving to Atlanta, she continued her work with children which was her passion in life. In 1998, Tanya relocated to Tampa, Florida where she met and married her soul mate, Spencer Parker Jr. Tanya volunteered with Deeper Life Ministries where she continued her work helping people and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Tanya was a devoted mother. One of her proudest moments as a mother was watching her eldest son Jamal J. Williams graduate from law school and watching her daughter Jazmyn D. Williams go off to college to study journalism. She spend numerous hours volunteering at Spencer Jr. and Atiya’s elementary school. Tanya enjoyed spending quality time with her family.

Tanya was known as a community advocate. She was a member of the Community Partnership for Rabun County, GA. She also worked with Faith Domestic Violence and Shelter Services for Women and Children. Tanya was very devoted to children in the community where she organized food and clothing drives to feed and clothe the children of Mountain City, GA.

Tanya had been ill for several years but that never stopped her continuing her love for life and caring for other people as though the birthed them all herself.

Tanya will live forever in the hearts of her loving and devoted husband, Spencer Parker Jr. The apples of her eyes two sons, Jamal J. Williams and Spencer Parker, III and two beautiful daughters, Jazmyn D. Williams and Atiya R. Parker. She also leaves behind a devoted mother, Patricia Oliver; two sisters, Avetta Oliver and Maryum Oliver; two brothers, Harry C. Oliver IV and Craig McNeil. A loving mother-in-law, Mattie Bush; a sister-in-law, Charlene Howard; her God Mother, Rose Holmes, along with other grieving aunts, uncles, family members and friends.
