Obituary for Stephen Thomas Clark

Stephen Thomas Clark, 36, of 131 Locust Court, Arden, NC, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2007.

A native of Macon County, he was the son of Bobbie Clark of Sylva and Guy Clark of Hurt, Virginia. Steve was a graduate of the Class of '88 at Franklin High School. He joined the US Army and was accepted at the US Military Academy at West Point. He was Vice-President of Alliance Tractor Trailer Training Center in Arden, NC. Steve was the grandson of the late Hollis and Alean Anthony of Franklin and the late Thomas Clark and Edna Harper both of Lynchburg.

He is survived by a daughter, Bailey Clark and a stepdaughter, Alex Madeo, his mother, Bobbie Clark, and father, Guy Clark; sister, Courtney Crouse and husband, Dan of Sylva; Aunts, Amy Anthony, Darlene Green and Majorie Caldwell, and uncle Leon Anthony, all of Franklin; aunts Carolyn Riddle of Lynchburg, VA, and Ruby Clark of Altauista, VA; cousins, Scott Anthony of Charlotte, Sheila Anthony and Todd McGaha of Franklin, Christie Ward of Whiteville, NC; nephews, Darrien Gregory and Canaan Crouse, and niece, Isabella Crouse all of Sylva.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 22, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Lloyd Fish and Rev. Wesley Hooper will officiate. Burial will be in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Scott Anthony, Todd McGaha, Brian Terrell, Tracy Chastain, Randy Gentry, and Curtis Green.
