Obituary

Sammie Elmer Beck went home to be with the Lord on September 16, 2020 at the age of 85.

He was born in Macon County, North Carolina on August 12, 1935 to the late Jim and Beulah Henry Beck. He worked at OshKosh Trucking Co. as a machine operator. Mr. Beck loved to fish and hunt. He was a hard worker, loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Beck was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his by his parents; and his three brothers, Jimmy Beck, Jake Beck, and Gilbert Beck.

Sammie is survived by his wife of 63 years, Patricia L. Littleton Beck; daughter, Debbie Brock of Pensacola, FL; granddaughters, Melissa Brock of Irvine, CA and Ann Brock of Williamstown, NJ; two brothers, Johnny Beck and Butch (Beth) Beck.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 23rd in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home with burial to follow in Highlands Memorial Park Cemetery, Highlands, N.C. Pastor Oliver Rice will officiate services.

Macon Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Mr. Sam was our Florida neighbor for more than 20+ years. Throughout the many years, we were neighbor helping neighbor. He would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need.
