Ruby Glenn Privett, 84, of Lady Lake, FL, went home to be with the Lord on October 17, 2005.

A native of Etowah, TN, she was the daughter of the late William Ledford and Jessie L. Cathey Ledford. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John A. Privett who died in 1995; and a sister, Dorothy McClendon. She and her husband lived in Akron, OH for approximatley 35 years. They were married for 52 years. Her family sang gospel music for 25 years traveling in the northeastern part of the United States. She loved her family and the Lord. Anyone coming in contact with her soon found that out. She was certainly a missionary for the Lord in her own special way. For the past 5 years she has lived in Florida.

She is survived by two daughters, Cathey L. Gray and husband Randy of Franklin, and Debi L. Henderson and husband Bill of The Villages, FL; two sons, J. Michael Privett of Atlanta, GA and Fred G. Privett and wife Terri of Deerfield, OH; one brother, Harold Ledford of Rossville, GA; three grandsons, John R. Gray and wife Alecia of Suwanee, GA, Donny Shumate of Atlanta, GA, and Ryan F. Privett and wife Rachel of No. Canton, OH; one granddaughter, Ashley Privett of Deerfield, OH; one great grandson, Jon Lawson Gray of Atlanta, GA; and two great granddaughters, Tatum Scott Gray and Jocelyn Lane Gray both of Atlanta, GA.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 5, at Holly Springs Baptist Church. Rev. Ed Trull and Rev. Michael Privett will officiate. Burial will be Monday, November 7, in the Evergreen Cemetery, Streetsboro, OH.
