Colonel Robert Thomas Bailey, retired, 67, of Franklin, died Wednesday, August 17, 2005.

A native of Canton, GA., he was the son of the late Lee Newton Bailey and Lillian Porter Bailey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Anne Bailey. Mr. Bailey retired from the Finance Department, DeKalb County Board of Health; was a US Army Vietnam Veteran; and enjoyed playing golf.

Surviving are his wife of thirty-six years, Ellen Bailey; one daughter, Nadine Bailey and fiance, David Martini of Buford, GA; one brother, Lee Bailey, Jr. of Big Canoe, GA; mother-in-law, Virginia LaFenetre of Franklin; one niece and one nephew.

Memorial Services will be held on Monday, August 22, at 12 Noon in the Memorial Gardens at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Family, 202 Griffith Road, Jasper, GA 30143. Rev. Mary Johnson will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Episcopal Church of the Holy Family.
