Obituary for Robert Mack "Bobby" Parrish
Robert Mack "Bobby" Parrish, 75, of Highlands, NC, formerly of Franklin, NC, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2006.
A native of Macon County, he was the son of the late James Robert Parrish and Beaulah Jolly Parrish. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Parrish Younce. He worked as an aircraft mechanic for Lockheed Georgia Co.; was a U.S. Air Force WWII Veteran; and attended Burningtown Baptist Church.
Surviving are a nephew and niece, Charles Yonce and Nancy Cox; several cousins, great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 21, at Burningtown Baptist Church. Rev. Jim Kinard will officiate. Burial will be in the Burningtown Baptist Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 7339 and American Legion Post 108.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Burningtown Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, C/O Bill Simonds, 279 Edwards Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
