Obituary for Robert Anthony Fisher

Robert Anthony Fisher, 72, of Franklin, entered into rest Wednesday, August 17, 2005.

A native of Freeport Long Island, NY, he was the son of the late Andrew J. Fisher and Edith Morris Fisher. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Patrick Fisher. Mr. Fisher worked as a road construction supervisor; was a WWII Veteran of the US Air Force; and a member of the Coweeta Baptist Church. Mr. Fisher, along with his wife enjoyed fishing, singing in the church choir and music ministry at Britthaven and Grandview Manor.

Surviving are his wife of twenty-one years, Roberta Whitbeck Fisher; three children, Cathy Rooney, Carol Fisher, and David Fisher, all of Castleton, Vermont; four brothers, William Fisher of Suffern, NY, Thomas Fisher of Scottsdale, AZ, Paul Fisher of West Linn, OR, and Andrew Fisher of St. Johnsbury, VT; two grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 26, at Coweeta Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Davis Hooper will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Coweeta Baptist Church Building Fund, 780 Coweeta Church Road, Otto, NC 28763.
