Obituary for Richard F Stone

Richard F. Stone, 76, of Franklin, passed away Friday, April 25, 2008.
Born in Marlboro, MA. He was the son of the late Kenneth F. Stone and Dorothy Marie Thatcher Stone. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Jean Smith (August 28, 2007). Richard was a US Marine Corps combat wounded veteran of the Korean Conflict and he received the PurpleHeart. He was also a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.
He is survived by his step-mother, Ruth M. Stone of Holiday, FL; four step-children, Albert Cauwenberghs of Plantation, FL, Dennis Cauwenberghs of Lake City, FL, Barry Cauwenberghs of Montana and Joy Yates of Anchorage, AK; three sisters, Barbara Clory of Manchester NH, Joyce Birri and Judi Winning of Northboro, MA; two brothers, Neil Stone of Hollywood, FL and John Stone of Uxbridge, MA; eleven step-grandchildren; four step-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2008 at St. Francis Catholic Church. Father Matthew Kauth will officiate. Burial will be at Woodlawn cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2008 at Macon Funeral Home.
Dennis Cauwenberghs, Joel Collins, Dick Winning, James Bouvier and Matt Nickerson will serve as pallbearers.
