Obituary for Richard B. Cofield
Richard B. Cofield, 87, of Franklin, NC and Ft. McCoy, FL, entered into rest on Friday, August 5, 2005.
A native of Santa Rosa County, Florida, he was the son of the late Samuel Dexter Cofield and Berta Linton Cofield. Richard retired from the U.S. Army as a Master Sgt. and retired from the Florida National Guard after 32 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII.. He was a member of the Morriston Masonic Lodge #49, lifetime member of the VFW in Ft. McCoy, FL, a member of the Eastern Star, Bellview Lodge; attended Cullasaja Assembly of God Church, Franklin and was a member of Salt Springs Christian Church, Salt Springs, FL.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Claar Cofield; three children, Sandy M. Cofield of Miami, FL, Gary Cofield of Tampa, FL and Barbara Goedde of Boise, Idaho; six grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Angel Hospice Foundation, PO Box 815, Franklin, NC 28744.
