Pauline Faulkner, born March 19, 1923, went home to be with her Lord at 10:15 PM on March 15, 2009. Mrs. Faulkner was a resident of Franklin, NC for 24 years. She was married to Glenn O. Faulkner for 65 years. Pauline was the daughter of the late Elbert Thomas and Georgia Carol Hays. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by seven siblings; Earl, Bob and Dick Hays, Mildred Hays Roberts, Mary Hays Shelton, Ruth Hays Roberts, Margaret Hays Mathena; daughter, Rosemary Gober and granddaughter, Beth Johnson. She was active in church work most of her life; spent 35 years teaching young children and worked for Stone & Webster Construction Co. during WWII where the atomic bomb was developed at Oak Ridge, TN. She also worked for Martin Marietta on Orlando, FL in the Aerospace Industry. Pauline was a certified Graphoanalyst (hand writing expert). Her favorite hobbies were spending time with children, music and sending many cards to people with special needs. She also enjoyed choir work for 35 years.
Mrs. Faulkner is survived by son, Michael Faulkner of Texas; daughter, Glenda Johnson of Franklin; six grandchildren, Katinka Faulkner of Germany, Annie Faulkner Morganstern of Memphis, TN, Emily Gober Commerce of Abeline, TX, Erin Gober Palmer of Simpsonville, SC, Steve Johnson of Franklin, NC and Abby Faulkner of Franklin, NC; nine great-grandchildren, Mason And Molia Commerce, Amy Ashley and Abby Kate Palmer, Jonathan Faulkner, Isaac and Kiria Johnson and Pauline Faulkner Morganstern. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at First Alliance Church on Sunday, March 22, 2009 at 3:00 PM. Mitch Schultz will officiate.
