Obituary for Naomi L. Rohlfing (Newlin)

Naomi L.  Rohlfing (Newlin)
Naomi L. Rohlfing, 58, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, July 01, 2010.

Born in Champaign, IL, she was the daughter of Dean Newlin and the late Ruth Hinkle Newlin. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and the Century Club. Naomi enjoyed volunteering and was a dedicated volunteer at East Franklin Elementary School for 12 years. She was active in many social groups with her friends such as the Juliets, Cookie Club and Birthday Lunch Club. These friends were very special to her. She was a strong, caring and generous person with a wonderful sense of humor. She was well known for her tenacious spirit and big heart. She touched and inspired the lives of others and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by two daughters, Suzanne Windsor of Pineville, LA and Erica Lyall of Winston Salem; seven sisters, Susan Newlin, Phyllis Rohlfing, Dianna Keefer, Rachel Kreke, Beth Upton, Lora Cunnea and Clara Koester; three brothers, Wayne, Steven and Bruce Newlin; one grandson, Aidan Windsor and sixteen nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, July 10, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
