Obituary for Mary Ellen Bumgarner (Jones)
Mary Jones Bumgarner, 88, of Franklin, passed away March 1, 2021.
Mary was born to the late General Lee and Rose Keever Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Lewis Bumgarner; brothers, Wallace Jones, Wylie Jones and William Jones; and sister Frankie Gootie.
Mary found her passion in caregiving and enjoyed spending her time looking after babies and tending to her flowers.
She is survived by her long-time companion D.L. Elliot of Franklin; son, Ralph Glenn Bumgarner (Sharon); Sister, Nancy Meyer of Franklin; sister-in-law Hazel Jones of Franklin; 1 niece, 5 nephews and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
Service will be held 2 pm Friday, March 5, 2021 at Macon Funeral Home Chapel.
Rev. David Lee Williams will officiate.
Burial will be at Barkers Creek Cemetery in Jackson County.
The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to service.
