Obituary for Martha Louise Politz (Grisam)

Martha Louise Politz, 79, of Franklin, entered into rest on Wed., January 4, 2006.

Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late William Grisam and Barbara Grisam Fink. She was married to the late John Charles Politz, Sr. who died in 1997. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by a son, John Charles Politz, Jr., who passed in 2002, and a sister, Betty Fink. Martha was a member of First Baptist Church; Prime Time Singers Group, and Christian Women's Club Board.

She is survived by two daughters, Carol Thurk of Eden Prairie, MN and Barbara Louise Politz of San Pedro, CA; a brother, William Fink and two sisters, Delores Harrington and Barbara Young all of Indiana; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Funeral Services to be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, January 8, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Harold Ball will officiate. Burial will be in the Windy Gap Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Charles Kinglesmith, William C. Marsh, Jim Thurmond, Bob Robertson, Bill Reesey, Bill Johnston, and Robert J. McGovern.

Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, Elevator Fund, 69 Iotla Street, Franklin, NC 28734.
